SZA GOES TEAL WITH IT
SZA just gave our 2000s Gucci handbag a starring moment on Instagram, and we’re very into it.

SZA has a way of making the unexpected feel completely natural. In her latest Instagram post, she brought a little color and a lot of nostalgia with our Gucci 2000s Teal Rounded Bamboo Handbag.
And yes, SZA bought it from Into Archive. We also had the pleasure of working with her stylist to pull the piece, making this one of those archival fashion moments we love seeing come full circle.

A LITTLE TEAL NEVER HURT
Teal sits somewhere between blue and green, which is probably why it has always had a certain fashion-world appeal. It is bold without being predictable, playful without going full neon, and surprisingly easy to work into a look.
On SZA, the color becomes the statement.
The rounded silhouette gives the bag its unmistakable early-2000s character, while the bamboo detailing adds one of Gucci’s most recognizable signatures. It is the kind of accessory that does not need much explaining. You see it, you remember it, and suddenly you want one.
THE GUCCI BAMBOO LEGACY
Bamboo has been part of Gucci’s handbag vocabulary for decades. The house first introduced bamboo handles in the postwar era, turning a material born out of necessity into one of its most recognizable design signatures.

By the 2000s, Gucci was playing with that heritage in a more colorful, experimental way. Silhouettes became playful, colors got louder, and classic house codes were reworked for a new generation.
Our teal bag is a perfect example. The bamboo handle feels instantly Gucci, while the saturated color and rounded shape give it that unmistakable 2000s energy.
WHY 2000s GUCCI STILL HITS
There is something especially good about seeing archival Gucci styled without trying to recreate the entire era around it.
The best vintage pieces do not need to look “vintage.” They just need to have enough personality to hold their own.
That is exactly what makes SZA’s styling moment work. The bag has all the charm of 2000s Gucci, but in her hands, it feels completely current.
It is nostalgic without being costume-y. Statement-making without screaming for attention. And, most importantly, it feels like SZA.
FROM OUR SHOWROOM TO SZA’S CLOSET
For us, this is the fun part.
At Into Archive, we love seeing the pieces that pass through our showroom find new lives with people who bring their own perspective to them. Working with SZA’s stylist to pull this Gucci handbag and then seeing SZA make it her own is exactly why archival fashion is so exciting.
A piece from the 2000s gets pulled from the archive, styled for today, posted to millions, and suddenly a teal Gucci bag has a whole new life.
We’ll take that.
